This podcast was not only super interesting, but very helpful. The way they used the quotes from the crew to enhance our knowledge of them and the experiment was very strategic. They were used in such a way that made the listener feel as if they may know these people. Whenever they were talking about a specific person on the crew or a specific situation, we got to here from the crew themselves on the matter. I felt like I was there, like I had met these people myself and understood them. I much agreed with Lynn on that I could not wrap my head around why or how these people came to the conclusion to commit to this experiment. However after getting to know them by hearing their words, I began to understand and I was amazed by their commitment and passion. They were able to use the crews words to put emphasis on the closeness, not only of the crew, but of the experiment and the closeness of the reporters and podcast to the experiment as well. This is a great example of how to effectively use quotes and information from interviews and outside sources to communicate ideas and feelings, even if its not about something nearly as interesting as this!
